Moving to Alberta Next Week

Well I'm leaving New Brunswick heading to Grande Prairie, Alberta next week. It's going to be quite a long drive. My gf and I have to drive out two cars, the Cobalt and the Sunfire. So what is there to do around there? Any tracks close to GP? What about dynos?

g5mike Sep 13, 2006 08:45 AM

Well depending on where you are from Nb, i was from Moncton, but I ve also been to Grand Prarie and there is not much there

Vmango Sep 13, 2006 08:51 AM

Man, that is going to be one ridiculous drive. ;-)

Ya, not much in GP. But they do have a dyno, and once a year (already past this year) they have a reacing event out at the airport.

Hopefully you already have a place lined up as well, the vacency rate right now is outragous, its less the 1%

Ya I have a place to stay already and a job lined up. Ever been to Fort St. John, BC? There's a dragway there I guess.

We are in North Battleford, Sask right now. This is our 4th day on the road. The gf and I are driving our two cars out so it's taking a little longer getting there. Plus we have our dog in the sunfire so we have to stop quite a bit. Only really been driving 10 hours a day at the most. The gf also got a ticket in northern Ontario for tailgating me lol. Ofcoarse she was driving our Cobalt and I was driving the Sunfire. Going to Edmonton for a couple days tommorow though then going to GP for work on Monday.

Hope it's not that much of a shit hole. Oh well once we're there we can find somewheres else to live.

vanillathrilla Sep 20, 2006 11:37 PM
