Raced a Harley....
Raced a Harley....
Where... In the Okanagon region of BC. On a highway, at a redlight.
So I am at a redlight on the highway in the left lane around lunchtime. There is some POS family car beside me that I cant remember what it was. Anyways... Light turns green and I gently take off from the line.... with my windows down.
Just as I shift into second at low rpms, I hear a loud rumble that could only be one thing...
a Harley Davidson. I quickly glance at me sidemirror and see a man drive between the two vehicles behind me and switch into the right lane. I knew he wanted some and I just matted it in second at 2500 rpm. I didnt downshift to first becuase I would have just spun. Because I started at low rpm, the biker was able to pull up beside me and game a bikelength on me... but as I reached the end of second, and shifted to 3rd, (120 km/h) I gained that length back quickly, and looked over to see that he had genuine look of surprise and then he smiled as I proceeded to pass him. I shut it down at the end of 3rd.
I stuck my arm out the window and gave a thumbs up and and saw in the mirror that he returned the thumbs up and I thought cool.
As I slowed down.... he passed me... and what did I see on the back of his Jacket as he passed???

Hells Angels
Britich Columbia
I just about **** my pants. lol
If I had known he was HA , I most likely wouldnt have raced him. But he was cool about being beat by a my little car anyways.

This I can attest to, My dad's a biker. Old school. All his pals are like that. No HA though... I've met a few, And they were cool. The biggest group over here I think, Is the BushRiders MC... They've got a neat lil' logo now...
Nice kill, just don't try racing me on my Harley...it's going to take a lot more than stage II car to beat mine.
And take from a "biker", if you want to call me that. Bikers are all good guys so long as you show them respect. HA are no exception. They're all just regualr people when you get down to it - most just dress the part on the nice weekends and nothing esle anyways

Their Coquitlam HQ is like half a mile from my house. When 10-20 of them come by on their way it is deafening. My next door neighbor has a few friends in the HA and there is no mistaking when they drop by. They are generally good guys, just don't **** with their bikes.
