K heres the deal... and I need input both from others as well from any possible MOD that happens to check this thread...

December 19, 2008 I post on the classifieds that I am looking for a B&M shifter... immediately a member sends me a PM and reply that he has one and wants to get rid of it quickly, gives me a deal on it for 100 bucks including shipping...

Awesome I think - done and done, paypal him and give him my addy...

Well that was 3 weeks ago... granted there was Christmas and New Years and whatever but still its been that long... I sent him a PM Sunday (there has been back and forth before asking where the item is and whats the deal) Sunday he sends one back saying he will have the tracking number to me by monday...

WELL ITS WEDNESDAY!... I sent him a message this mornign saying he has till friday to get the item on its way or I report him to Paypal and CSS.net...

I'm wondering have any of you had any problems similar and what recourse do I have... I mean I've already sent him the Paypal 3 weeks ago...

I have the paper trail and I am not shy about taking legal action if need be but I wanted some advice and opinions.

 

Well here nothing will get done. Some kid here by the name of HackAbuse who is a total *** linkin park fanboi stole money and never sent out a part, well we all called him out and all we got were locked and cleaned up threads.

 

You, my friend, just got scammed. Lets say I go on some forum site, register, and then respond to an ad like yours. Bam I just made $100 and I never had whatever the hell you were looking for. Time to contact paypal.

Again... I did get pics, and well how do you suggest finding out what a trusted member is... I mean as another poster has reported above... HackAbuse... I've seen his how-to's and pm'd and had a good few conversations with him... and apparently he's screwed some over... I wouldn't have known or guessed that...

you are all funny. RE-read the rules. CSS.net takes no responsabilty for any private sales...They cannot help you so i dont understand WHY you all keep pestering the mods for help when you have been warned its at YOUR own risk when buying or selling... This is getting old

To the op. Theres nothing anyone on this site can do. Making a thread about it is useless so im unsure why you made it. Your only option is to file a claim with paypal, get your money back and be done with it. /thread.

 

Well you COULD post up the persons name, the pictures they sent and whatnot. And if we felt motivated we could go in and do some digging. Just saying.

Just so we're both on the same page - I'm in Calgary, AB. Canada so with the conversion were looking at:

80 USD = 97.42 CAD (via http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi )

K dude I've been pretty patient and easy going about this but its getting excessive. Whats the deal is the shifter on its way or wahts the deal cause I'm at a point where I'm ready to pull the payment.

I realize its very little they can do however they do maintain the user database and all information on the users (if filled out correctly) so there by if I were to take legal action against him and prompt them for his contact information... well thats just how I'm looking at it... I mean I fully agree there is little they can do about it since well its a forum...
