Canada Red Deer and central Alberta chat thread.

Ya ya I've borrowed OuttaMyMind's idea for a chat thread like the Calgary one.. Remember its a compliment or something to copy ones idea.. You know what I mean I hope?

Anyways it would be nice to see how many people are actually in the area besides BigRoberto and myself.. I've not been really involved in things as being involved in meets of late due to loosing my job and being sick Not to mention almost having to give back my car to the dealership after waiting for some assistance through EI and my sick claim..

So please if your in the area let us know and chat away or ask questions..

well i will take it as a compliment this time but be warned i won't be as forgiving the next lmfao. anyways there's about 4 people in red deer that i can think of at the moment so they are out there. and in the spring/summer we'll be having our alberta meets again but this time we have to find a differen't spot other then sylvan lake as they don't particularly like me. i still haven't paid my ticket from them lol.

well to let you know I'm probably the newest person to show up on the forum that is located in Red Deer. I am rarely around do to my job. I work all over alberta for a hydro company so it'll be tough for some meets but will do my best to be at some. I am still in red deer off work until the wensday next week. So if anyone wants to meet up, I'm down for that. I'm headed up to edmonton tonight to hopefully meet up with a few people.

Hey Minaud24 welcome to.. Ya this may be a Calgary thread thing but I do have to ask where are all the Edmonton people?

I do have to ask some of you that work in the oil related industry if things have slowed down out there? I would love to make some of that coin thats available but also have a steady job unlike b4.. If I do get on the patch I'm going to have to decide what I want to do with my car, get a new 08 T/C SS or work on the old one.. but I already started a thread so I won't go on..

Come work in the oilsands bro!! You will have money for MANY MANY years, and LOTS of it!! I started at $85,000/year. But I made over $105,000 last year, and I started my job in April. So a full year would probably be around $150,000+. This is before taxes of course.

Thumbs up thanks guys for the info..

I was working at Fountain tire busting tires for $17.50 (the highest wage I've ever had) but sadly got sick again so I had to quit. I'm stuck taking meds probably for the rest of my life now nothing to serious though..

I would love to also move to the big city someday but with the old plastic and loan I owe on right now my main priority is just to get back on my feet and not get sick again

I appreciate the comments and info though.. I do wish I could come up to Edmonton today but EI sick pay, pays sqwuat (however you spell it!) so I'm stuck in RD for now.

I just got a bid on a brand new truck we just got on site.

its the biggest truck in the world bar none.
and it still smells like new car inside it

The T282 Liebherr mining truck. payload 400 tons for a total of 624 tons loaded.

Um.....aren't the Cat 797C running 450 tonne payloads? I am pretty sure the ones we have at Syncrude are running almost 475 tonne loads.

But that is a HUGE truck.

they are RATED less then the liebherr though. technically a 797 peak load is 380.
we can quite easily run 500 tons in the liebherrs too.

but technically the liebherr is the worlds largest truck.
