Spark Plugs?
Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone has tried a different spark plug in their LNF engine. I recently put in a set of those E3 spark plugs and they run awesome till about half throttle then they kinda bog down, with WOT I got a few miss-fires and a check engine light.
So of course I put my stock plugs back in and all is well, I was just woundering if anyone is running better plugs?

I found that with GMS1 and the stock plugs, I was getting the most slight amount of knock at WOT, when warm. 2-3 degrees at above 5000rpm. I changed to the same style NGK stock plug, but one range colder. My stock plugs I found quite fouled for only 7000kms.
I attempted to gap the new, colder plugs at roughly .033. I'll take a stab and say they're at .035. Knock is gone and I find the car idles better. At a much higher boost level than stock, I sleep better at night know they're a colder plug.

NGK is the only way to go IMO with the LNF motor, anything else I was tossing misfire codes during cat warmup.

whatever you do, dont try those E3 plugs, they are complete garbage. I got my truck at 80,000km and the plugs never been changed so i decided to try E3 plugs, they lasted about 6000km before they burnt up and started misfiring. Changed to NGK and they are working like a champ.

Depends on your mods and driving just like any other car really, I'm on set 4 in under 40k. But that's due to the last 2 sets being garbage autolites, NGK all day.

best plugs will always be copper plugs. cheapest too, but you gotta change em every to every other poil change...copper has a short life. Iridium is next, and that doesnt need to be changed very often. as far as gap and heat range, those depend on the mods, so no one can give a clear answer there really

I'm glad it worked out for ya. I'm very pleased with the way the car idles, and accelerates above 5000rpm. I don't think the stock plugs were a problem or anything like that, and I'm actually surprised with GMS1 they do NOT include new plugs with it. Meh, no harm, no foul... and no pun intended!
