stumbled upon this on Autotrader

So what is this?

2006 CHEVROLET COBALT SS Supercharged

The outside looks like an LS/LT but the interior has all the cues of a SC with the boost gauge, seats, shifter. Someone swapped base bodykit?

It has rear calipers. So it's either an SS or someone swapped 5-lugs on it. I don't think they make a 4-lug disk kit that works on the base models.

I bet it was in a accident, Im sure the trunk/hood was painted black to match the "custom" job. Everything looks right but the body, rear calipers, manual, ss boost gauge and cluster etc, or maybe it was some guy making a sleeper?

Definitely a 5 lug. So I think that it is a sleeper SS. Because in 2006 base balts had 4 lugs, unless they either have the year of the car wrong or somebody spent a lot of money to make the inside look like an SS lol.

If it were an 07+ it would have the 3-spoke steering wheel, so it's either an 05 or an 06.

you can see discs in the rear, and judging by the paint around the tail lights it was most likely a repaired balt.

If so it is one hell of a sleeper. Wasn't there someone a while ago that but base model bumpers on his SS? Also, rolling down the highway you won't be able to tell that it is a 5 lug. So, the unsuspecting victim won't know what hit em lol. They will think, holy **** I just got beat by a base model lol. I'd even put LT on the trunk.

I've seen something like this before. It was Supercharged but I had a base model bodykit and exhaust but had all the SS interior and had the 5 lug rims

ya? why would you swap out that much of the interior.its got the shifter, the boost gauge. which wouldnt even do anything if this wasnt supercharged. etc. dont be stupid. some idiot probobly wanted a paint job so bad that he sold his ss kit and got a base model body so he could afford the paint job or like someone else said he probobly crashed the car.

I'm willing to bet money to say that the car was in an accident and they put on the cheaper bumpers.
