Just wanting to get a number of how many of you would be interested in a track day with SRT-4's. Also how much you would be willing to spend?

I am in the process of trying to set up a couple of different things - autocross/lapping day and a drag show'n'shine day.

lol if you saw some of the times albertas srt4s can run you wouldnt say that.

You know I'm up for a day at the track! I'll try to keep to you turbo skittles!
If it's a limited number of cars and we have a track to ourselves... I'd be willing to pay more for that priviledge.

Ya don't think as it stands you could beat the fastest SRT-4 that would be coming to this hehe.

At any rate this would be closed event for racers with prepaid entrance and specators can be anyone .

This in the works in the SRT4OA club and I thought it would be better to have different cars included.

As I have met some of you from here thats why I decided to extend the offer.

Right now I have two options open to me -
1) Race City giving an opportunity for special racing on Sport Compact weekend
2)Castrol park but the cost there is $8500 plus gst. Now breaking that down to 85 cars thats a hundred a piece for a full day of racing.

Depending on the response I am looking to talk to businesses for sponsorship and prizes to make this a real event.

If you have an suggestions or ideas I would be more than appreciatative to them.

 

id be up for it so long as my car is ready i should be able to emberass a few srt-4, depends on how my tranny holds up though



quick note ill be far from stock, and when i say far i mean more than the average cobalt owners does up here in western canada

 

Just to let everyone else know, as it stands the fastest SRT-4 from SRT4OA ran an 11.3 at Castrol last year and if you check their top ten for quarter mile, it's all in the 11's and 12's. If I'm not mistaken, I think there's even a stock turbo SRT-4 that runs 12's too...

omg guys I was being sarcastic! I know what the SRT can do, very powerful car. I was going to buy one when they came out, but it was a little out of my price range at the time.

 

same here man. im a big fan of the srt4, but when they were out i wasnt able to afford a new car, and when i was able to, they stopped making them ARG!!!!

bigroberto I knew you were joking around. I just don't want you to be surprised as most of the slow SRT-4's running this up coming summer will be high 12's to low 13's.

There will always be gabbing at each other as my best friend drives a slow-balt, i mean cobalt.

But on topic guys, seriously is there anything you guys want from these events. It looks like it will be two different ones lapping and drag day. The cost approximately for the lapping day will be about 300 so far. If we were able to get about a hundred cars we could have Castrol for a day cost being about 100.

Also I have been offered something during Sport compact weekend as well.

Opinions please!

Anyone of those events would be cool. I think I could speak for most of us and say the cheaper the better, lol obviously. The Castrol day for 100 would be sweet. Im up for whatever though.

im all for the drag day, possibly auto-x, but yah get me some dates and ill book it off, im hoping my car will be back together, im aiming for 400 Hp, but i guess well see, **** could happen yet

 

I did always wanna see the Rockies...... Best of luck with your build tho, hope you get to that 400hp mark.

spray is in my possible parts lists, it all depends on how my build goes and if i get some more wicked prices

 

It is only for when you have to race 600 cc sport bikes and corvette's
