2008 ss/tc build
Well I know for a fact that jd nows his stuff. So if he said to stop there. Then I would trust him on that. But like I said I have seen every other tuned cobalt around 340+ trq and the same hp as yours. I bet the car still works really well. From your numbers you are about +25 ish whp and +10 ish wtrq over a gms1 car. Did you have gms1 before ? Or just tuned it from the stock tune with the parts ?
What were your stick numbers ? I'm curious as to how much HP and trq you did gain ? Also, I was thinking. If Danny uses a mustang dyno. That would account for some of the low tea.
It has more in it than that. Maxed out on 91 octane I have tuned stock K04s to 415 wrtq and 325 whp on high boost (26-27 psi) on a dynojet.
Yes if you took yours to the same dyno as you did your GMS1 run I would expect 315-320 whp and 370-380 wtrq out of your car with the tune in it. That mustang dyno you used is a real heart breaker LOL.
car hauls total ass and makes me grin ear to ear that's what counts haha
Yes. Next time you are there you should pop it on with the GMS1 tune just to see what it makes on that dyno. I am curious never seen anyone with GMS1 dyno on a mustang dyno (not including zzps high reading dyno) before.
So im replacing the clutch cause we had too much torque for the stock one then going back to the dyno. And some propergas lol. Looking foward to see what he really did for power lo l
Dyno numbers are a hilarious spectrum. Account for 10-15% more on dyno jet, than another 10-15% for crank. There there is bhp, American HP, Australian KW etc. it's all about having the biggest car *****!!!
I normally run my 286 WHP (mustang) tune daily, but on dynojet numbers that's 330 WHP. Or 380 crank. My 346 WHP (mustang) tune would be 400 dynojet WHP, or 460 crank hp.
I could use my inflated car ***** 460 HP number, or if I converted my low power 234 WHP tune to KW, it would be 171 Kw....
Even without changing anything, my car will have typically a 2-5WHP variance between runs on the dyno....
Everyone allways overstates their power to make their car ***** seem bigger than the next guys. If the car throws you back in your seat, and puts a smile on your face, who cares?
You gave me an idea for a cool forum signature though! Gonna make a image in photoshop of my car all flashy and ****, and be like "Cobalt SS 2.4 turbo .2 MegaWatt / 300 Million calories/hour"
