how much power are you trying to make?

boltons and a good tune should be all most people would need.

^^^ this. HPT is where it's at with a good tuner.

GMS1 does run a bit lean but it's safe regardless.

If you upgrade to performance cams you will need a tune. The GMS1 tune is for a "stock" SS. It does not even take into consideration for a intake....let alone cams.

More info on the 2.4 cams please. So they are the same thing ZZP sells as a LNF stage 1 cams?

I'm surprised you had any knock at all on a stock gms1 tune. I have been watchin my car for knock over the last two weeks using torque. And at wot I have 0 knock. Which is perfect.

I'm sure some people run a bit lean. But my car tends to run a little rich. My ltft and stft are both in the minus range. Meaning the car is running too rich and the ecu is pulling fuel. Not much mind you though. None the less , my gms1 is a bit rich.

James @ raven autosports in bayers lake does my tunes

been dealing with him for over a year, zero porblems, honest guy. Put in an all nighter to 2 AM for me one night.

He charges a one time fee to setup your VIN with an HPT credit, the credits cost money and its how HPT gets their money. Then an hourly rate for the dyno time

His tunes are great, doesnt delete codes, some people get rustled jimmies because they dont know the difference between an inertia dyno (his) and a brake load dyno. so your numbers may be low. But his tunes are great, for low throttle, fuel effciency, smooth power etc. plus he has the most advanved dyno in nova scotia, next closest is JD racing in new brunswick

some ppl get tuners who do **** work and have spiky graphs with big numbers.

I've been meaning to find out a good turbo grind intake cam for the 2.4

i know the exhaust cams from any LNF set will work with a 2.4

didnt know the zzp cams with from the LEA/LUK, sneaky devils!

only parts i have personally ordered through him are just GM OEM parts. He's cheaper than oregans/macphee's. and if you give him a part number (gm or aftermarket) he is always willing to check his suppliers for cheapest source.

I also bug the **** out of him through emails every other day/week lol, allways gets back to me within 24 hours, if i have questions.

He's done many ecotecs, knows our motors/ecm well. and drives a 600+ WHP cavalier :P

for labour he does $60/hour, not sure on dyno tuning /hour. I dont know any place in HRM that services cars for less

hes honest and upfront unlike 99% of service centres. has the best dyno in town.

to criticize, i can say that he's often swamped with work/super tired/busy, he's the only one in halifax who does this type of work (**** halifax autosports on kempt) so book 1+ week in advanced, expect him to sound tired/apathetic on the phone lol

I have heard some people say they had issues with him/disappointed with low numbers on the inertia dyno, i don't care, but i'm not a numbers type of guy. my car only does 135 WHP anyway....

but in my 1+ years of dealing with him, allways been a happy customer.
