Winter Rides ( And Maybe Pics )

About a month ago I bought my wife a 03 Oldsmobile Silluette. Its fully loaded with a DVD screen for the kids and both sides have electric sliding doors. It has low kms for its year and works great. The thing is, my wife really only needs it one day a week. So for the most part I have nit driven the tc in lmost two weeks. In the last month i have only put 80km on the balt. I am basically using our new van as my winter beater. :-). Which brings me to the title. What do any of you guys and gals use for your winter beater? If at all ? And pics if you can... lol...

i picked up a 2000 mazda protege es two months ago.

2 day old safety, winter tires, new brake lines, pads and rotors, air filter, oil change, new rockers and only 120,000km on it. paid $1,800 and it looks as good a shape as this one! i love it so far. i put a cover on my balt today due to impending snowstorm.

sadly i scratched the antenna base today trying to take it off. it was seized this year so i just poked a hole in the cover.

I got a 02 grand am 2.2 auto that wont die. It was originally from texas and it has 185600 miles on it. Transmission doesn't even slip yet LOL. I have been driving it since august when my truck (now wrote off) dropped the transmission and had to go in for warranty work. Not bad for 800 bucks.

LOL yeah they are they look like suv tires. This car should do good with the snow tires and the traction control. I need both of that where I live im on top of some nasty hills and in a small town to they dont plow the roads to good. Also my driveway is 800ft long that i need to get down and my aunts driveway is just not normal lol

That's my car way up at the top. I didn't trust it making it up. this was before i put the snow tires on it and thats only half the driveway it turns and drops down even more then turns again to the house.

2007 Chevy Silverado Classic 3500 LT3 Dually

This bitch was built like a rock. 189,000 miles and still feels like the day I got her. As someone else mentioned, heated seats are very nice.

lol yea, I was just messing with you. we gotta get that photo shoot once winter is gone. I got new wheels for her

the Intrepid is unfortunately gone.. I had it parked for 2 years while I was driving the Cobalt year round. all strut assemblies, including shocks and springs, and brake and transmission lines were rusted and obviously the battery was dead. between labor and parts, it would have cost about the same to put it back on the road as what I could spent on replacing it.

haha thanks! I was looking into a smaller car for gas but we are planning on moving to a house or at least a bigger apartment in the next two years so we figured the extra space will come in handy.

no net yet, the weather hasn't allowed lol but soon! I got a nail in the sidewall in one of the tires and the stock size is VERY expensive. going down an inch on rims made a huge difference and I've wanted to get lightweight 18's anyway so I figured it's a win win. the rims and tires came to about $200 more than a new set of the stock tires would have cost so they will pay for themselves next time I have to replace the tires.
