Does anyone know who's car this was, laser blue, aftermarket grille, dropped and tinted
It went from 12900 to 10800 in a week, and seems like a pretty good deal, unless there's something wrong that I can't see.

Has anyone had any experience with this company? This seems like a great deal but I do remember that they had this other cobalt when I was buying mine, looked perfectly good on the website but when I went to check it out it was on a spare tire on the front end lol, and all the pictures they had made sure not to show it.

I went and saw this new one today, and everything looked fine but my previous experience is leaving me kind of skeptical of this company.

the car was on a spare prob cuz the rim was bent so they sent it out 2 repair... plus its illegal 2 sell a car with a spare.... car faxed the car or ask the guy at the dealer 2 show u a car fax... also check every bolt on the motor... like for example look at the header 2 see if the bolts have been messed with...also if the cars super charged check to see if the bolts are also messed with....when it comes 2 used cars check everything! lol u dont understand how many evos and srt-4s ive seen stock and all the bolts have been messed with especially if ur gonna pay big money on it its not worth it

troyss 07-31-2010 10:33 PM

Your an dork. Yeah don't buy a car cause it has an ugly grill in it. Really are you that much of an idiot?

Go take a look at it and get a test drive. That looks to be a G85 package SS/SC, so it is a good buy if the car is running well.

That's what I was assuming too, the salesperson there didn't really want to say much when I asked him if it had an accident.

And I've seen that black one too, but they are asking more than i'm willing to pay. I just happen to see the blue one for cheap and figured I had to atleast check it out. But it's left me skeptical.

12k and still not totalled? was it just cosmetic damage or some mechanical as well?

and whatsup jason, i see your car everytime i go to dueck service, anything new for the car?

BlueStang 08-13-2010 02:03 AM

I would think if it had $12,000 damage it would of been totaled, I had a 06 SS that was in a collision in the winter of 2008 with less damage and ICBC wrote it off

not neccesarily i had 8k worth of damage done to my 11k kia years ago and they still didn't write it off...

LazerSSSC 08-17-2010 08:06 PM

The reason it wasn't written off was it was only like 4 or 5 months old.. so i guess ICBC didnt want to pay him out to replace his car.

Nah ive got nothing new on the car... lease is almost up so im not sure what im gonna do with it.... probably buy it out and keep it for a bit... i wanna get a truck now cuz the car just aint doing it for me anymore... if i do keep it for awhile i may do a few other things to it but right now the pocket book just doesnt support the habit of tuning.

If the customer never paid that little bit extra on his insurance for the "New Vehicle Replacement" then if it is around a year old they will rebuild it. Besides that ICBC will usually only write off a car if the damage may exceed the cost of replacement where before it used to be a percentage, but times have changed and they find new ways to screw us as usual.

Just before I bought mine I test drove a 2006 black ss/sc and I noticed a ripple on the passenger side (I notice these things since I restore old cars) I asked the dealer to pull a report as the owner was possibly trading it in for a new car at this Ford dealer as I arranged to test drive the car through the owner directly but she said it was at the Ford dealer as they let her take a car home that she was interested in. Well the dealer pulled it and the damage was $12,780. Both the dealer and I said, "Well I'm not taking this car!"

I later heard that this same black ss/sc is still doing the tour through all the used car lots around BC and going back and forth through the used car dealer auction so it may be the same one a few of you had seen.

My 06 SS/NA that was in the collision in the winter of 2008 had the new car replacment on it. after the collision ICBC wrote it off and paid for a 2008 Cobalt Sport which was $3,000.00 more than than I paid for the 06, I did'nt want to write it off but they did

I know it sucks to let go of a car you've enjoyed but much better to get a new replacement than have a car thats had as much damage on it as it's worth and sometimes more as the costs start to climb as they find other stuff while rebuilding it. I'd hate to lose the resale on it too!
