Cobalt gone

Well it was a fun ride but today the cobalt got traded in. I originally placed a factory order on a ford f150 but changed my mind when dodge made me an offer i couldnt refuse, still have to let the ford dealership know i wont be taking delivery of their truck when it arrives lol.

The truck is a brand new 2010 Dodge ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.7 hemi. Awesome truck, will get a few pics tomorrow, it was dark by the time i got home from driving around in it. The car will be missed but was time to move on to bigger and better things.

Welome to the world of trucks, I got rid of my Cobalt and traded it in on a 2010 Chevy Colorado pick up. What a difference I love it & wish I did it a long time ago. Of course I'll never ever buy another Cobalt again

i'll never buy gm again... cheap **** for a car i tell you... plus their warranty dicking around really angered me...

I now drive an 08 fully loaded Dodge Ram 1500 Sport

FYI Darren, I might be heading out towards ridge tonight!

You like those rams? My father and I test drove the Ram Larami and it rode like ****, worse then his 2 year old silverado. All said and done he settled with a 2010 LTZ.

Lots of options in the Larami and a cheaper price, but you get what you pay for.

what did you end up paying for it??? dodge is giving those away here. 1500 crew 4x4's with the hemi for 18,400.

on the gm warranty deal im probably about to catch hell with that on a cts rear diff. starting to whine and clunk and mom claims she doesnt hear anything because she blasts the radio. so i have to deal with it.

keep in mind thats in the US that pricing lol... Canada price structure is different here in line with the cost of living & how much more we make north of the border...

I received $6k for my 06 pursuit (that was on the high end of things, thats with trading it in with the new katzkin leathers i just installed, rk sport hood, ss/sc spoiler, rims, etc..)... I stripped everything else.

My truck was $23,001.25... minus $6000k = $17,001.25 plus HST... all this on a fully loaded 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport w/5.7L Hemi, has every option except sun roof so same as Laramie.

IMO, it depends how you like driving various trucks/etc... Driving my brothers fully loaded 2010 GMC Sierra... I think it drives like crap compared to mine... but to each their own! His also still gives me the feel of cheap plastic when I get into it lol.

I found the ram to ride the nicest with the coil suspension on it also love the look of if outside, the interior is great, awesome power, 390hp, 407ft/lbs of torque.

Great truck in my opinion . They gave me $15,000 off the truck plus 6 for my car

Rob text me when you will be in town, will be around for most of the day buy lined up to work sometime tonight

Do dodge trucks still have shitty transmissions? Just wondering.

Sounds like you got a great deal on the truck. I got $10,650 off on my Colorado, plus $8,500 trade in on the Cobalt, the Dodge's are nice I just liked the looks of the Colorado more. Enjoy your new ride

not any of the newer ones or any of the recent model years in the half tons that i have read. The new f150's seem to be getting a number of complaints with their transmissions which kind of made me back away from those

Our company has a couple of the last model Dodge 1500, 4x4, with the Hemi and they were all crap with tons of issues on the front end. We got a new style Dodge Ram last year as these are on company lease and it is a huge difference! Fuel mileage better too which the Dodge was the worst of them all before. We have a Sierra 1500 as well with no issues at all, and I drove a 2005 F-150 FX4 for the last few years before buying the 09' Cobalt SS/TC and never had an issue except for a faulty torque converter that was replaced.

I think all trucks are the same with issues of one thing or another and now it boils down to personal taste. For me I still like the F-150 for build quality then the new Dodge but some hard dash plastic rattles that bug us and with the Chevy/GMC at the back of the pack as it feels flimsy in comparison and the interior lacks big time, and this is only because I see them at my work everyday so I have a good comparison.

I've bee impressed with the build quality on the new rams and they perfected the mds system on the 2010 models, can't feel it switch on and off at all, only reason I know when it switches is because it says on the screen lol. On my way back from work which is 70% highway and 30% stop and go, I averaged 19.8 mpg which is great since this truck isn't even broken in yet

i dont really think cobalts are p.o.s... i mean mine has only given me some battery trouble and thats it. i think everyone who complains that they are the p.o.s ones are the ones who beat the hell out of them and mod them to extreme.

and nice truck btw and u said u got 15000 off?!

One of my coworkers has a 2010 Ram almost identical to yours, _UnLiMiTeD_, but his is the "Big Horn Edition" (I think). Like the color, definite upgrade!
