Looking for work :(

Well sadly the way the economy has been going, I just got the big lay off from work and it doesn't look like it'll being opening up anytime soon. So my cobalt isn't going to be getting any love for sometime now. Just throwing this out here for the BC guys in the lower mainland who may know any places that are hiring and aren't shady. I can't even look on craigslist anymore its just ridiculous, I send out 20 resumes and never get a single call. My main background is mostly Machinery (any forklift, yard trucking) i also have dispatching experience as well as shipping to go along with it. If you any of you guys know of anything and can point me in the right direction i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks a lot

Sincerely,
A sad cobalt owner

It makes me hopeful for our future to see somebody jumping up to try to help somebody. I REALLY pray something works out between you two.

Well i was the yard dispatch for raymont logistics, mainly i booked containers for shipping to the ports, inputing containter data into our system and placement of the containers in the yard. I also did quality check for containers coming in. Most of my shipping experience is mostly courier and freight loading. So waybills and custom documents i did. I was just starting to learn office dispatch before the lay off which is mostly booking times for ports, scheduling trucks and getting bookings for containers for return or pick up. I also ran a forklift in the yard to offload containers in the yard and i moved trailers with our yard truck mostly intermodels being unloaded

Ahh man, cp rail just hired a conductors class last month. They might have other openings there as well you can look into, go to this link here and take a look. Pretty much every job there is good pay.

I'm constantly looking for and using courier company's for various sized packages with our company and have had issues with a few different ones. What company are you with as I like to keep business and money in the pockets of family. (Doesn't necessarily mean immediate family but you know what i mean.)
