Oct 17th Autocross!
Who's coming to autocross on the 17th and represent Cobalts?
VCMC is hosting the last autocross event for the year:
NCT 5 and VCMC Series 3; Novices, Here's Your Chance to Beat the President!!
For those who's never been to these events,
What it is: These are basically timed runs of the track constructed by cones. They run the cars one by one so the risk of damaging your car is very low. The most common damage is cone rash which can be buffed out very easily (or try not to hit the cones :P). There are generally 3 groups organizing these events: VCMC, UBCSCC, PCA. Since VCMC is the most popular one, the least amount of runs is expected out of the 3 clubs. From my experience, VCMC events usually give you 5-7 runs for the day.
Price: Membership $50 (first time registration includes 1 free event), the event itself is $30. Any registration after August 2010 is good until December 2011.
What to expect: Expect to spend the whole day at Pitt Meadows having fun and meeting people. Every driver will also have to work the course while other groups of driver run the course. Working the course means picking up cones and reporting them on the radio for the timing operators. Aside from racing and working, you can also ask for rides in other people's cars and 99% of the time they'll let you ride along. It is a lot of fun to ride in those super fast cars around the tracks

yea it is a lot of fun! gotta warn you tho, it will make you wanna spend more money on the car
you should come out that day if you have time. Pitt meadows is pretty close to you i think
