Wheel Bearing Swap Help?
So back in November one of my front wheel bearings decided to go.
And I also snapped off 2 lug bolts due to hitting a huge crater coming off the port Mann.
I've finally got the time now and all the required parts and a couple of how-to's from this site to swap my bearings.
Anyways, I was wondering if any local fellow cobalt owners would be able to lend me a hand, this is more of a two person job???
I will repay with food and beer and good times.
Maybe after all this snow disappears?? Anyone??

I haven't really checked if I have the right socket for the axle nut yet. Ill probably do that when I get home from work today. I have the wheel bearing puller and everything else needed. Btw most of my bolts that hold onto the brakes and knuckle are rusted over and won't budge, any suggestions? I've tried wd40 but I'm hesitant to use flame so close to the brake lines. Also, can I let you guys know by Friday morning if I'm free this weekend? I'm in maple ridge btw.

The hub is just a bolt on piece, from what I've seen on alldata, if you have air tools it'll help the most, especially with the axle nut, I can make time to help you this weekend, Sat or Sunday, I don't mind. Soak them in wd40 Friday night, torch is for sure last resort option.

the axle nut is a 30mm.
its real easy to change these wheel hubs, if you can change brakes you can do it easily. pull the caliper and caliper bracket off, remove the rotor, remove the axle nut. remove the 3 bolts from the backside of the knuckle that hold the hub in place. grab a hammer and tap the hub out. make sure you clean the corrosion off the knuckle with some sand paper before you put the new hub in. make sure you have the torque specs for the axle nut, its critical to torque that correctly.

if you have problems removing nuts try using liquid wrench super lubricant, i used it to get my downpipe bolts off and it loosens rusted bolts, i can help but i only have friday saturdays off now, and today im working on my car trying to fix a vacuum leak
