Classifieds

In an effort to deter scammers we are going to implement a 5 day and 5 post minimum to access the classifieds. This is sort of a "testing phase" and if changes need to be made to the timeframe and post minimum it can be done. As the members of this forum if you feel someone is scamming people or acting "shady" please notify someone from the site staff.

Thank you, hopefully we could get rid some of these scammers

StruttinSoul Nov 21, 2011 01:16 AM

Excellent idea! I love it when forums do this except usually it is 50 posts minimum.

Black SS/SC 06 Nov 21, 2011 01:17 AM

It may change. We will see how it goes. Your feedback will help determine if changes are needed.

Omnigear Nov 21, 2011 01:24 AM

5days is kinda short =p
30days ^_^

thedude411 Nov 21, 2011 01:26 AM

Ya more time and more posts

donald Nov 21, 2011 07:05 AM

def. more time and posts id say 30 days and 100 posts

riceburner Nov 21, 2011 08:28 AM

also people should ALWAYS leave an i-trader feedback. if a deal goes sour? thats your chance to let the css world know.

thanks black ss/06!

sLAsh Nov 21, 2011 10:07 AM

Definitely up the time and post count needed. 30 days and 50 posts is too much effort for most scammers.

Staged07SS Nov 21, 2011 10:18 AM

I agree with a 30 day probation period as well.

Also, itrader feedback helps.

kdub1492 Nov 21, 2011 06:11 PM

Yea I agree that it should be about 30 days. I would say a minimum of 50 posts, I think 100 would be way too much because some people have been members for a long time but honestly don't post alot.

drzsz Nov 21, 2011 08:01 PM

i agree id do like a 50 post and 30 days ive been a member for a lil while but havent posted much i do more just searching and using previous threads to fulfill my answers. i do post alot on my diesel fourm just dont here so much just more into reading others posts

drumrush Nov 21, 2011 08:12 PM

I always require them to send feedback, and if they don't I remind them until they do :)

FrossB Nov 22, 2011 07:15 AM

I say more on the minimums as well...my friends on other forums have like a 60 day/50 post/10 dollar donation to the website to even view the Classifieds. Personally love this idea tho!

cmatthewb101 Nov 22, 2011 07:17 AM

I agree with everyone else. Up the minimums

05Slowline Nov 22, 2011 07:19 AM

We will see how it goes. You have to remember some people might join the forum to buy something from the classifieds. It's not really fair for someone acting in good faith to have to wait an extended period of time.

I have never had issues. How many times has this happened to you?

Geez now its look like im gonna have to quit reading and start posting before tax time.I just figured if I don't have any informative info ill be quiet.I can certainly see the forums getting crowded with alot of low iq trash.god I hope this dosent end up like the mazda speed forums.

2006g85sslobalt Nov 23, 2011 01:39 AM

Lol I will buy in though:) this site has been quite helpful and informative for me.

FrossB Nov 23, 2011 01:50 AM

I am apart of the Mazdaspeed forums too haha and while there is a lot of BS talk and crowding (and they have a chat function grrr) they dont have NEARLY as many scammers. They have the minimum post rule, minumum time rule, or you can donate. Along with those they require pics of the items you selling with a visible piece of paper with the sellers forum name, date and the forums name.

2006g85sslobalt Nov 23, 2011 02:05 AM

I guess you gotta take the good with the bad sometimes.lol bring on the bs.

Every time I tried, about 3 or so different people. At first I thought it was because I didn't put a thread link but it didn't work after that either and every box was filled out so idk.

Sounds like a good plan. I like it.
