Because the other thread is locked. I do wish a mod to lock this thread shortly after it's posted. Due to my chaotic work schedule I haven't been on as much as I would like. In the other ZZP customer service post I was addressed by Zoomer as the Axle guy...

I do know that you guys are very busy. You have R+D, techs working on cars, shipping, orders, building, inventory, management, and a plethora of other wonderful things to maintain your company and keep the high quality products coming. Though these are important, none of those are a valid excuse for the complete and total lack of intelligence I received in the message I got back when I called about the Axles. I told you guys I got one axle out. I'm pretty sure I knew at that point how they are supposed to, "just slide right out". That was the response I received over 24 hours after I called your automated customer support because I was unable to contact a real person at 1pm eastern time. I'm mad because there wasn't any thought what so ever put into my problem. Just stated the complete obvious of what should have happened (which didn't otherwise I wouldn't have called) and said to call back or E-mail. If I would have received some sort of direction other than the blatant obvious I would have been satisfied but, I was neglected and felt like a check mark on the list of "called back". It would be wonderful if you guys could have put more than 10 seconds of thought in the response I received. Due to lack of guidance I ended up breaking the intermediate shaft (something you guys don't sell) and I had to spend 325$ buying a new one from the dealership to get my car off the lift. I don't hold you guys liable for that, but I probably could have avoided breaking it if I received better information than, "it should just slide out"...

Axles have retainer rings on them. They dont typically slide right out. Im sorry you had such difficulty. Next time you are doing axles try prying gently between the axle and intermediate shaft housing while tapping the housing with a hammer. The vibrations should help to release the axle. Again very sorry this happened to you.

I have the fucker in a vice, gently and with a sledge hammer banging away. we tried taking out the (C clamps?!) inbetween the axle and shaft, still nothing.

damn! Im wondering what has occured, it most def is doing this because of the ring. Have you tried a pneumatic hammer with a pickle fork?

Ive seen them used a lot on tie rods but they make them for axles also.

Well it's to late now haha. I broke the shaft and I bought a new one everything just plopped right back in when it was all new. basically a whole new front end right there. Just need to install the mounts and I'm ready for over 9000 hp =-P

Yeah...I just wanted to put my 2 cents in. Zoomer said that they can't anser questions about specific cars. I understand that, but spitting out the obvious of what should happen isn't customer support. There is a reason I am calling, it's not becuase everything went smoothly..

I'm sorry that you had issues getting your old axle out before installing ours. I know how frustrating modding can be when things don't come apart or go together as you would expect. For future reference, I would recommend using the forum a little differently, though. Instead of getting upset about your response from ZZP and posting negative feedback, you could have posted to ask other members for advice to begin with. There are thousands of members and many of them could help you through a job like this.
