09 Cobalt SS/TC Sedan Black, Low Mileage on s257sxe Build

8500 OBO. I will sell it.

Text Preferred, or call: (765) 670-9064

**NOTICE on 10-23-18: Clutch is intermittently losing pressure. Performance shop confirms TOB. Mechanic will confirm and have quote for just under 1k for everything. If interested, will knock 2k off the price if someone wants "as is". If you can change yourself or even pay someone else to, would save you some money and me some time. Otherwise, I'll eventually get it fixed and price will stay where it is. Make me an offer before it's repaired and it's yours. This is the only issue and not a major one, I'm just ready to move on to something new. My impatience = your savings.

Posting here first to see if there’s any interest. We’ve had a good run, but it’s time for something different at this stage in my life. It’s where I found it when I bought it, and probably the only place where someone might appreciate the work that’s been done. So many things done, I’m sure I’m forgetting something. Contact me for more details. Everything works, very good condition for its age.

One small scuff on back bumper, one small door dent (less than a dime). I have documents for everything that has been done. Never at a track, never raced, daily driver for my wife. I know you all will think “yeah right” with all that work done, but it’s the truth. I just enjoy modifying cars. Here is someone's chance to own a well-built, well-maintained, good shape sedan with decent miles.

I know mods don’t hold value, but hope to get better than trade-in value, so all the work isn’t wasted on someone who won’t appreciate it. I have 10k+ in work over the last 2-3 years, not including purchase price.

Body/Interior: 110K
LDK block: 35k (with install paperwork)
All bolt-ons either replaced or redone (including turbo): <1k.

Everything professionally installed, remote tuned by Kevin Moyer (KM043), current setup has not been on a dyno. I have dyno sheets from previous owner:
Dyno tuned by ZZP at 23 psi on an s256et turbo, 93 octane fuel, 350whp, 335 wtq *ZZP verified. This was my daily driver tune for a couple years.

Turbo eventually went out, when I got the s257sxe, I retuned with KM043. Maybe 350-400 whp on conservative tune? Unknown, could go much more. Currently boost capped at 24-25psi, on 93 octane. Set up capable of running ethanol, and turbo can push much more.

Location: East of Lafayette, IN
4th owner, clean title, no smokers, well maintained (brand new everything – engine/tranny oil, plugs, coils, brakes, hpfp, fuel lines, etc), no problems, all history available.
Annual rust-proofing maintained.
Interior black/grey, 8/10 condition.

Nice car with good mods, hope you sell it, or did the add right so it doesn't get locked.

What did I do wrong? I checked the rules, am I missing something?

I'm thinking I maybe priced myself out of the market. Not even an offer?

Dropping the price, make an offer!

If this is the only place you've listed it I wouldn't drop the price based on no response in 5 days. There's not a ton of traffic here and the traffic that is here usually isn't looking for a car. I'd list it elsewhere before dropping the price.

I'd also take off the stickers under the hood, but that's opinion. If I want to sell something I try to take off as much aesthetic "customization" as possible. If the new owner wants stickers he can always get his own.

$8500 is a decent price. Sadly many beat up abused cars have sold in the last couple of years at sub $7000 numbers and now the kids expect every car to be under that even if it's been tastefully modded, and well taken care of.

I appreciate all the advice. Yes, there are some stickers under the hood. There are none on the exterior of the car, unlike what the pics show.
Any advice on where to list? I feel like craigslist, etc. doesn't get much real interest in a car like this, though I do have it listed there.

market is tough for these cars now. Just one kid got a LSJ for $2,500 every thinks all cobalts are worth that now

It does depend on the condition. I looked at a local SS/SC this week. Seller was asking $5600. Car had extreme clear coat issues, a cracked front bumper, ripped rear seat, and surface rust in the trunk. Some people are just asking way to much for a 10 year old car.

this is so true, I saw a post on cl searching for an lsj and stating "looking for an lsj cobalt ss in good condition preferably with under 100k miles and I wanna spend 2500 or less. I know what they're worth"

It seems the market has changed a lot since when I bought! These things were moving pretty fast a few years ago, but I've had only a few show real interest. I'll get new pics up tonight, hopefully.

New pics.

Current photos, as the car sits now.
Only issue I could find was plasti-dip peeling on part of bowtie.
Interior carbon fiber is a heat wrap and could be easily removed.

Seats are that faux suede stuff that's in all of them (if you've never been in one), and changes shade depending on which way you rub the fiber. Seats are not stained!
Also, as someone pointed out, there are a couple loose wires running along the firewall. They go to water temp and oil pressure gauges, and simply need tucked into the wire loom.

Update: Clutch started doing funny things. See update in original post. Willing to negotiate or drop the price to save me some time.
