I did thought I did use image codes in the original post but they didn't work. I'll go look at it again.

The thing is, nobody is buying it.

Show me where Blue Book, Black Book, and NADA have spots to add "mods" in to calculate value.

The only way the dealer is giving you 10k for it is when they stick the extra $5k to the back of your loan on the new car you bought from them.

Ask what you think you deserve for keeping a car in that condition. will you get it? who knows but ignore what people on here say..
Sounds like good advice, thanks.

Dealer mod + owner mods:

But ultimately it matters what other similar vehicles are selling for. Not what KBB says it's worth. Much like the S10 I linked. Obviously KBB is not going price a 92 S10 at $18k.

They specifically stated buying only.

Thanks to all who are posting here buy the way. And I apologize for delayed responses. I travel for work so I'm not always able to reply promptly.

very clean and nicely done car, the black with the red looks very good, but i highly doubt you will get anywhere even close to 10 for the car, most LSJ's are going for between 3-5 grand with around 100k on them and somewhere in the area of 6-8 for under 100,000 miles. The car's have just depreciated too much thanks to the ignition recall.

Not worth his asking price... Mods don't add value. However that dude sold his salvage LNF for 7.5k so there is a sucker born every minute

Yeah, people see Cobalts like Neons now thanks to the recall. Even though Hondas are recalled more than any other brand and are true pieces of ****

I wouldn't call honda's pieces of ****, from a mechanical standpoint they pretty solid, even the newer ones, and from a techs standpoint, honda has always been on par with providing sufficient repair-ability under the hood. Overpriced for what they are these days, yes, and all cars have their share of problems, im not gonna deny that. When it comes to imports though if you wanna point some fingers, take a look over at toyota. lol Ugh, if I told you the issues ive gone through with toyota's lately. Had a family friends car in the shop last month, 04 camry, TSB for crossthreaded head studs in the block, caused the head gasket to nuke and he drove the car until the engine finally gave up from heat.

Cobalt's were never anything more then the successor to the cavalier, people forget that, thats all the delta platform ever was. A good economy car no less, what killed its value more then anything was the fact that it became the poster child for killing people. You go to sell your car and people are like, hey wait, is this the same car that that girl got killed in? -_-

Toyotas are garbage, we have an 06 with 90k on it and it consumes coolant like it's going out of style. One owner car maintained by the book lol. Top of the line model yet doesn't even have a leather wrapped steering wheel

My 09 Corolla had a failed water pump before 60k miles. Not real happy

I hate their cars but the 4Runner is a great truck. Not a fan of the tundra or Tacoma.

Update

This Cobalt just sold for $10.5k.

Which ended up being $500 less then I realistically expected.

Actually it almost sold for $11 about a month back but the buyer couldn't get all the money.

Wanted to say thanks again for all the posts.

Especially these:
