what do you think this should go for
Just curious if i was to sell my 06 cobalt SS what it should go for . heres some of the stuff thats been done to it .
first the obvious painted nissan orange and black with gunmetal center. IDK, all the exterior might make it harder to sell. Probably get ~10K for it.

i was thining 15000.00 only becasue it only has 50,000 miles and the sudio system is nearly $6000.00

IDK,... Spending the money to put sideways monitors on the doors, etc..You should have planned on keeping it before hand.

well i agree somewhat with all of you however this is a car audio shop car .last summer i took home 2 1st place trophies a month for 3 months plus several vendor trophies. you would have to see it in person plus these pics were while we were building it. iv got several offers for around 14k but i wasnt really interested in selling it untill i came across this classifieds and the people requesting to buy it
dealer alone offers me 13.5 you guys have low balled your self too much our cars are worth more than blue book will ever print. dealers are buying cobalt SS with under 50k miles and original for 13k all day long. your out of your mind to sell your car for 8k. maybe on here becasue everybody here thinks it should be cheaper here. I paid 23k for mine it was brand new from the line with 0 miles it only has 50k miles on it now 90% highway miles . i posted same message on 12vInsider.com - Powered by vBulletin 32 people replied no less than 14k. thats the average persons thought process when looking at our cars. they have more value to a non coblat owner. still intersted in comments no comments will be taken as insult |
Not to be a dick but you will never see that no matter how much you talk it up, noones gonna spend 14k on a s/c cobalt when they can get a newer t/c one for less

not trying to talk it just saying dealer offered 13.5 k as it sits and dealer owner said he wpould give me 12k cash and i would'nt have to get a car from him lol yesterday. I do a lot of installs for this dealer so that might of helped his decision a little .
i guess cobalts ss are more valuable in illinois used cars are going for more then new cars right now because the obama crap that's running all the promotions. dealer just bought my dads 07? i believe lincoln Blackwood for 18k cash he didnt take the cash but he did get a brand new F350 for 3k cash extra just for shits and giggles take your car to a deal and see what they will give you it will be more now than it was 3 months ago or earlier. |

why i didnt take 13.5 for my car this past summer i dont know.. all i can say is i regret it now but o well its almost payed off with 24k miles so its whatever pretty much done modding it to

If you can get that from the dealer then get take it. No one on here is dumb enough to pay that for a car. Maybe a stupid salesman or a dumb kid but that's about it.

why would you say im getting mad ? im enjoying this as much as all the members with insults . youv low balled your selves so much your believing what your worth or your car. i like nice clean stock cars just as much as anybody, however my market isnt stock. my car is clean and the paint is top notch.
update: i put my car on craigslist to entertain offers and iv gotten 3 calls and a text message for possible buyers at 3 pm today at 15,900 not one of them said i was asking too much. rethink on your analogy why your car isnt worth what you want out of it and make it worth that . dont insult people becasue you cant get what you want out of your car. by the way this isnt saying i want to sell it. I would'nt sell my SS for 20k if you offered lol my car is too enjoyable respect to all the dedicated cobalt owners who dont belittle there cars value to themselves and others yes dealers wont pay for your mods but i can take my 6k worth of audio out and still get 12k cash for my car. you asking the wrong dealers. I have customer fan base for my shop which changes the playing field all together. |

the only reason a dealer offered you that much is because you told them you had a trade in, then walked to find the car you liked or w.e and basically when you go back they will tack 4k or more to the new vehicle price.

HAHA the three people on "craigslist" that should have been your first guess...but really doesn't matter how many receipts you can show for your expenses no one is gona pay full price for something or asking price for that matter
