It's actually pretty accurate if you use it after the fact as a sort of comparison tool. You'll usually find that the predictions it makes are almost spot on.

According to the that dyno tool, a car that weighs 3000lbs and traps at 100mph should probably be making 230whp.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but thats a little high for a stock cobalt isnt it?

Either way, I'm sure he actually ran that time. There were probably just other things that came into play that helped him achieve it though. (LSD, track conditions, etc)
Online dyno is off. I put in my trap and weight and came up with 244HP then I put in this HP and weight and it came back with an et of 13.36 and 102. Well I trap 102 but my et is 14.2. there fore this dyno calculator is unreliable. that is not even close.

Edit - Now I have to laugh. I put 205HP in the calculator and guess what #'s came up ...... 14.1 and 96 HP....LOL now I see what is going on.... that is funny guys. nice #'s.....LMFAO.

I have experience with drag racing front drive cars with and without LSD's. If you are getting traction without an LSD it will do nothing for your ET by installing one. But if you are spinning one wheel without an LSD then you will lower your sixty foot times by adding one and lower your ET by about 1.5X of your sixty foot gain. So if you improve your sixty by .10 your Et should be about .15 better.

Yesterday went to the track with my stock 06 Ion Redline Comp package (quaiffe lsd)
ran 14.2 on five different runs.

I am 100% stock, no air filter, stock tires. Best run 14.252 @ 97.13 mph with a 2.192 60 foot. I believe his time are attainable since I'm pretty close myself. However what I have hard time is his MPH. 100 mph is very high for a stock Cobalt or Redline. I need about 30 HP more to get 100 mph on my car.
