Dan tuned RL hauls

Just thought I'd pop over from the RL forums and post up the times for fellow LSJ owners. Great time @ track last night.

W/ 60# injectors, 2.6 ZZP pulley, K&N CAI, and Dan's (DJT81185) custom tune:

13.7 @ 107.3 w/ a 2.26 60'

13.7 @ 107.2 w/ a 2.3 60'

13.6 @ 105.2 w/ a 2.3 60'

I've got the slips, just need to hunt up the camera. But there were also many there from both boards, in case there are some flamers...

Gotta cut down them 60's! But, otherwise, car was hauling ass. BTW, the higher trap speeds were done crossing the line in 3rd, not even banging the rev limiter.

Thanks! For the $1000 or so I have in mods, can't complain one bit. 60' times will be the curse of FWD forever. Seeing RWD cars trapping around the same speeds and running 12s can be frustrating, but I enjoy my little Saturn that could, and does.

The HP Tuners tq. mgm't will hopefully let me cut the 60's. Thankfully, w/ my Goodyear F1s (compared to the stock Dunlops) I don't get hop, just spin. Too much tq. mgm't, and I bog. Too little, and I spin easily in 1st and well into 2nd. We'll figure it out.

As fall and low temps come, I'll be seeing low 13s

Wow those times are awesome! And the trap speeds say there are definately some lower times coming. Have you replaced the clutch/flywheel yet? Did Wes get his replaced yet.....ive been out of the loop for a while here now........congrats on the times.

Better than stock tires (Goodyear Eagle F1s versus Dunlop SP9000s) and boost control in first gear. I think the tq. mgm't is set around 75%, and it gradually increases until 100% at 7200 in 1st.

That's about it. No need for traction bars, as I don't get hop w/ these tires. Drag radials would probably put me at 13 even or high 12s, but I like my axels like they are.

As to clutch and flywheel, all stock. Gonna stay that way till they fry, seeing the issues others have been having w/ CM. Still feel strong.

Nice times, best i pulled yet with my set-up was a 13.6 @ 105, if you get your 60ft time down, thats a high 12sec pass with that trap speed, i will be purchasing drag-radials so i hope to be in the high 12s.
