drag bags

Dont have any good pics yet, but I just made some home made drag bags. Footballs in LS springs should get rid of alot of weight transfer and get some good grip on the track :)

now...drag radials...

BLAZIN07SS 06-18-2009 10:47 PM

those footballs help immensely reducing weight transfer. 60 foot times still suck if your on all season tires though.

BumbleBee 06-18-2009 10:48 PM

woah, wait... get some pics lol

gearhead07 06-18-2009 10:49 PM

like seriously an actual like wilson foot ball?

rico 06-18-2009 10:49 PM

pics of this please lol

some weight reduction (just simple removing of interior and trunk stuffs) and we will see what happens :)

i just emptied out the air from them and took them out when i got home. the ride actually felt smoother. lol

VeNoM0713 06-18-2009 11:04 PM

what does this actually do? does it improve your times by that much?

reduces squat and weight transfer to the rear. keep weight over your front tires for more traction

68nova200 06-18-2009 11:06 PM

how hard are they to take in and out?

easy...to put them in empty them completely, jack up the rear of the car, slide them in from the bottom of the spring and fill it up. same process reversed to take them out

NWAE Cobalt 06-18-2009 11:10 PM

I have a spare set of springs so im just going to swap lol, but yes, like that!!

i ride on h&r sport springs, so with the front end down, and the back end on stock ls with footballs i will actually squat FORWARD and hopefully not back at all

pics uploading now

and i live 4miles from the track...so it wont be too bad

gearhead07 06-18-2009 11:14 PM

That Is F###ing Awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Will Def Be Trying This One!!! Hahahah

ls1fbody 06-18-2009 11:15 PM

rico 06-18-2009 11:31 PM

nice so does this have to be done on stock springs or can it be done on like sportlines or what not?

NWAE Cobalt 06-18-2009 11:32 PM

it can be done in whatever, but i wanted easy swap and had stockers laying around, also, my stock ones have such a huge difference in height that it pitches wieght on the front

rico 06-18-2009 11:41 PM

oh ok jw. thanks for the info damn i just traded my stockers too lol ill find another set

may i suggest finding a set of ls rears?? lift it up further for even better tractions!

blackbolt89 06-18-2009 11:55 PM

good idea man. tell us the difference in track times!

mkriebs 06-18-2009 11:55 PM

Keep us updated how this helps your times. I have been considering doing this, and went a bit different of a route, and I am not so sure how it worked.

NWAE Cobalt 06-18-2009 11:56 PM

Will do, last run was a 14.95 and i expect a decent time with this lol, cause i had ZEEEEEERRRROOOOO traction last time haha
