First time at the strip in the cobalt

Went to the drag strip yesterday for the first time in the cobalt. Best time of 14.36 @ 100mph. There was a 40 - 50 mph headwind which definitely didn't help trap speeds. Overall I'm happy as the car is stock has over 220000km and was on weather cracked eagle gt's lol.

Can't figure out how to post a pic on my phone. Will do asap

funny thing.. I could never find what hte Challenger R/T could do in the quarter...

it looks like he gained nearly 1/10th on you between 60' & 330' ~ and held that "lead";
Considering the reaction time, it looks like he would have trapped a mere 0.039 seconds before you!

Talk about a close race!!

40-50mph head wind? Were you guys racing in a storm? I seriously doubt the wind was that strong, that kind of wind is hard to walk in. The track would have likely shut down racing.

Ran an experienced guy who had a stock r/t and he ran 14.08. They are really heavy and not that fast. The scat pack and srt's are much better.
