Yeah when you launch, don't rev it and drop the clutch.

 

if you are trying for a fast time, then don't worry about your reaction time off the tree. just make sure you get your launch down. but if you are racing someone else and really want to beat them, then def. get off the tree fast. I usually take my time cause I'm always trying to perfect my launch. Most of the cars that race against me are like 12sec cars anyways, so I wouldn't beat them anyway.
