it is my advice from a 14,6 saturn.

My rev is at 7300 why:

hit cut off at 6500 is bad
hit cut off at 7300 is not better

with a rev at 7600, you will shift safely wo hit your rev at 7300. there is a little lag from rpm and what I see in my tach.

last night I put a tune with a 7600 rpm from trifecta in stock G5. R&D

You have to finish full speed in third gear if not lost time to shift in 4th gear.

with a 7300rpm, 7/10 finish on 3th gear and got a 14,7.

My 2.4 is set at 7k and i never go into 4th in the quarter....7300 is pushing it for a stock valvetrain

i set mine to 7200 and shift at 7k so i dont actually hit the limiter.

as far as 4th gear goes ive always had to, even on my buddies rims and tires,

i gain about 7mph in4th by finish..ive tried holding 3rd and no good, raise your rev limiter a lil and you should be fine without 4th for now.

what was your trap speed before?

im actually gonna say FASTL61 will match his previous 15.4.

mainly because he'll be forced to shift right where his car is starting to crest the hp peak.

on 18's i finish the quarter in 3rd, on 17's i finish the quarter in 4th. there was that big of a diff between the two tire sizes. With 17's my 60ft's no longer were an issue, I was able to get my 60's around 2.33. my end goal is to have a pair of 16's to throw on this car.

but when i do runs I do em with my car fully loaded out. i do not remove anything. so when i did my 15.8 run i was sitting on a 3000lb Cobalt at least lol. So to be honest, with all my weight adders I'm happy to be where I'm at.

from where I'm at though, I'm done with buying anymore bolt-on engine stuff for a while. Engine performance-wise, I'll be going turbo before I do anything else.

Good luck at the track Fastl61

Yes,I forgot to factor in that is only got down to 103*F by 10:30 pm.I could only flag a 15.84 with a 2.4 60 ft.Track prep was bleh.I couldnt hook up worth dick out of the whole. It was just too dam hot IAT's were prolly about 120 ish .highest trap though ws 91mph.This gives me time to get tuned then go back once it gets cooler outside.Tundraboarder hit fastest of 15.85 in his auto.FF_ACE could only hit the fastest of 13.60.He had lots of tire spin.Overal it was fun but just to hot so like I said i wont go back till it cools don and by then I should have the tune and nitrous.thanks for the support guys, maybe next time.
