I have about 20 videos from back in the old sport compact days and have roughly 30 for Nichetti Drag Racing. We've got several go pros and my camera but I'm going to be needing someone to snap photos while I'm driving. :-)

Well as of late not much has happened since it's the off season and we're not making too many changes to the cars.

The Red Hot Rod however is for sale . $50k for turnkey car. Selling in hopes of building a whole new car....*top secret*

Blue Hot Rod will be going to Brazil to race down there for a while.

Pro Blue & Black will be staying in the USA for now.

The White SFWD / Outlaw car still has more working going on. Still looking at Late March / early April for first fire up / testing.

What it takes to build two 25.5 funny car cages...one is for mine...other is for the team.

I'll let you know what's going on. There's for sure going to be an open house...but we might be able to work something out with a dyno!

I would like nice 6 point cage. What do the cars weigh in at since the cafe weighs 350 or more pounds when done.

Sorry it's been a little while guys...been very busy with work and all sorts of travels. Here's a few pics to nom on for a bit of the new white Cobalt SFWD / Outlaw build.

Progress, glad to see the quality of design so far from Almany Chassis Design ( Jimmy Almany )!

The new seating will be super light weight Kirkey Racing Seats.

The main hoop and beginning of the 25.5 funny car cage.

A look inside from the front of the car of the new progress.

Closer view....this is gonna be a sweet design!

Love it already, there's a lot of work left to do..but I know I'll finally have safety.

Been a little bit of a delay due to waiting for parts / part of the team out of the country...but more work is going on...and progressing faster every day.

I know that I had hoped for a start up by now but still waiting on a few items and then all should be good to go for final install or everything else. Should be able to paint the cage in about a week 1/2 and be certified for 7.50 and slower.

Few pics of more work on the cage.

It'll be done when it's done...I've waited over 7 years...what's a few more weeks?

Thank you! I think the job that's been done on the cage has been phenomenal and there's not even a comparison to the old one. I actually like the front bumper and we're going to need all the down force we can get in the front to make sure the tires don't break loose. Not to mention it'll make a nice wide open area for the front mount intercooler / (possibly turbo).

Moving quick now...

Looking at about the halfway point now with the full outline of the cage in.

Having the cage this far forward will hopefully help with keeping the front end down.

EXTREMELY tight fitting cage!

What size tire are you going to run in the front/rear. Rear spring rate. Front strut length. Etc. Big A2A up front or an A2W intercooler? With the way that bumper is set up it's actually probably going to have a negative affect and cause more drag by pushing the air outwards instead of more down force by bringing it up over the hood.

Send me a pm. We'll chat.

24.5 and A2A for the SFWD races and every now and then throw on some 26's and A2W for outlaw. As for spring rates in the front / rear...I'll have to check with the guys on that one. As for the bumper, it's always been fair game. God knows how many times I've changed something on this build .

I got a chance to stop by Horse Power Sales / Almany Chassis Design today with my camera to take some more photos and see the progress on the build. Another bar was in the process of being installed heading towards the back. It's a large hoop that will eventually connect through other bars down to the trunk and into the parachute anchor / mount. As of now, the entire cage is only tack welded in place until the final welding happens.

ETA as given on the cage to be fully done, painted, with parachute w/ cable and release / co2 air deployment system, window net, ect and cert is 2 weeks out. In the mean time the mock engine and transmission will be put in to help out the chassis guy on the front suspension in the next week - week 1/2.

After that ladies and gentlemen comes the fun part of wiring and getting all the other odds and ends tied up. Figure this, more work has been done in the last week than what has been done in the last 7 years .

As for the other Pro cars...they're taking a bit of nap before race season picks up again.

On to the pics!

Few more pics...

Driver rocker bar fitting.

Passenger side.

Two new bars run down from the main hoop to the next one before shooting down into the trunk / parachute anchor.

Miles and miles of tubing!

Can't say anything but how pleased I am so far with how things are turning out!

Final one.

Few more pictures of the progress on the white Cobalt...funny car cage finally taking shape and final welds are going in for most of the cage. Was hoping to be further along on the build but hey...stuff happens. Door "X" bars and rest of the funny car cage are next.

Switching it up now...

The Blue Pro FWD driven by team owner Luciano Nichetti, dusted off a few cobwebs and went to Orlando Speed World tonight for a test -n- tune. Took a couple hits at the track and was able to collect some valuable data for upcoming races.

Here's a few photos from tonight:

Glad to see the car back at the track and can't wait to really push this thing to 200+ and high 6 second passes!
