The Blue Hot Rod and Pro FWD cars were at Mech-Tech Institute this past weekend with Horsepower Sales as a vendor. It's always nice to get a chance to show off the cars!






Back home!



That's over 5,000hp just waiting to be unleashed!


Finally, the white cobalt is back at Horsepower Sales and should be picking up pace again with the build now in our hands again. Thank you to all of you that have been patient with this build!

What transmission are you running for the sfwd cobalt?

 

As of now, 4t65hd.

 

How are you getting away with that (rule wise) since it was never offered in a cobalt?

 

How many flywheel bolts is that o.o

 

I count 12 flywheel bolts

 

Im confused. Didnt the lsj only go up to 8? And and the l61/le5 was 6?

 

From the first day of SFWD or Phase 5 Cobalts hitting the track, they were either using 4t45 or 4t65hd transmissions. Old NHRA Sport Compact rules allowed it and all of the events that we will be running in, allow this transmission. If the White Cobalt had the chance and rules permitted, it would have an Xtrac transmission like the Blue Hot Rod....and NO ONE could stop that car.

SFWD Shootouts @ Orlando Speedworld are pretty much exactly what the other tracks are requiring for rules.

That would be 12 A1 bolts.

 

Ahh. I was under the impression that the trans had to be an oe part.

 

If that was the case, we'd have a lot of issues until a couple companies start making billet bellhousings....which btw....I wish we did have out there :-(

 

I'd make it looks stock and take that thing on the street,make some money and hurt some feelings.

 

Kinda hard to make it look stock when it's got a funny car cage in it lol. But still hope to make a few cry and make some money at the races!

Right? Lol If there was an ecotec that ran solids these would be it lol

 

Everything that is in these engines...can be found in the build book...except for a few other secrets .

Anywho, the team went out testing again tonight! Was running consistent low 8's on a new setup.

 

Which edition of the book? I know for a fact that the 3rd has lots of info removed, 2nd is mia, and the 1st does not tell the truth about the valve train
