So, me and my friend did some runs. Couple pulls from a 50km both in second. Basically came down to the drivers. We both got a kill pretty even then we did it from a 70km in 3rd and we'll, my RPM were just to low so he killed me in 3rd... We have yet to do a dig race so will keep you guys posted on that and hopefully get it on video! Cobalt SC mod list: stage 2, long tube header, cai 08 Civic SI mod list (that I know of) cai, Skunk2 cat back

Let that be a lesson to all saying you'd smoke him no contest in the other thread. A lot of variables at play IRL.

I never said I would, I was just saying that spec wise it shouldn't have been close but than again, as soon as I bought the car we raced so I'm still learning the sweet points on it

2nd lasts until almost 100kmh, why would you do the 70kmh run from 3rd?
Was tire spin an issue for you?

Oh didn't meat you OP just a lot of other people said you'd smokem.

The civics are lightweight with good gearing/powerband for roll racing. RSX-S are a mean foe for a staged/sc aswell watch out for them. A lighter version of the civic.

no spin at all, I'm learning the car and where it's sweet points are in the powerband and just learning the car in general. I just picked it up yesterday. I had a cobalt ss NA before though.

civics strong points are roll races but with cobalts and the 5speed it's harder for us. We are trying from a dig this Sunday so I will keep everyone posted on the outcome

For the SC's. The TC can go to 110km in second gear. 70kph is prime 2nd gear pull territory. Go from a lower roll you will get the civic. gradual pedal not on/off switch.

Yeah I raced him again and beat him by 3 cars and I raced my buddies g35 and also beat him by about 3 cars but he had 3 passengers so it would've been closer lol

Ive beaten those Si's with exhaust and intakes before with my STOCK cobalt ss supercharged. You have something wrong with your car, or you don't know how to drive.

Edit: just saw the post above, glad you beat him.

..

Make sure no matter what speed/gear you roll race in, you are at least 3500rpm before you flog it. The low rpm torque surge can kill these trannys right now.

Seriously? A type-s RSX a mean foe for the ss/sc? I beat my friends type-s by like 4 cars on my supercharged 2.2, I don't think my sc 2.2 on stock pulley can beat an lsj though so more like breakfast lol
