Just did my airbox mod this weekend and have not had that happen. I left the lid off. Check the clamps on all of the connections, sounds like you may have an air leak.

On a side note, ran the ac for the first time and the car is sluggish until about 2500 to 3000 then blows the tires off...

 

damn I can't wait til it cools down here! 14.8 @ a measily 96 mph cause its so damn hot here, and thats with intake and exhaust!!! You guys are almost 100 mph! my best 60' is 2.29.

First time at the track. Started off running nothing but 15.0 - 15.2s. By the end of the day when the track warmed up (and some VHT was sprayed) I ran consistant 14s. Made 21 passes

 

Well i didnt do too bad at the track today considering its my first time racing on a drag strip period and not to mention it was over 120' on the black top, oh yea and no traction in 1st
