Trying to see who has the best technique for launching with slicks and Dot radial drag tires. Give us your launch RPM, 60 ft times. and ET Top speed.

With slicks- 6500 RPM, clutch fully engaged by ~10 feet out. 1.73 sixty foot.

Slicks 4500 dump the clutch(stock clutch by the way), 1.89 60 with a 12.2 at 112.xx

Sounds good what kind of wheels and slicks are you running ?

Your car is built almost exactly like mine. 09 SS TC Yellow Aem intake, Dejon Cp, Hahn Catted Downpipe , Jennetty 3 inch exhaust, Hurst short throw, Engalls Stiffy, Ott Mounts , Trifecta Dual Tune

How far does the rpm drop once your fully hooked up ?
Centerline Storms, Mickey Thompson ET drags.

I don't remember exactly, but I think it drops to around 4500-5000 RPM.

There is no best rpm. It depends on the cars setup, tune, track, tire, weather, alot of things. You just have to practice with different styles and techniques till you get it figured out. You can't even stay at the same rpm run to run or day to day, things will always be changing minute to minute. There's been times I have had to lower tire pressure in the staging lanes because someone broke down. Usually after that the track won't hook as good for a bit till it gets more rubber down, unless they spray vht, then your good.

Slicks, 5500-6500 depending on track, slip the clutch just until the cars starts to roll, then full engagement. Best 60ft no wheelie bar 1.68, best with 1.59
