Very few people here need to even run a 24.5" tall slick.
22"-23" tall is more than enough traction anything with 400-500whp.
Buddy of mine runs a 22x8.5 on his Maxima....runs high 10's.
Civics run in the 11's all day with 22-23" slicks.
As long as your not shifting literally as you cross the line, the smaller the better.

I have never seen a Honda with that much power running a 23 inch tire. If I ran a 23 inch tire with my redline I wouldn't be able to make the traps in forth gear. 24.5 is the best option for our cars, if we could run a 13 inch wheel and only make 400 hp and be on stock gearing then it would be ok.

Like I said, my friend runs a 22/9.0/15 on his maxima, runs high 10's.

225/50R16 DR is about all you could get, its 24.9 outside Dia. pretty close but a little bigger. i wont say that this is ok, ill let Mark. i dont know enough about these cars to say
i am curious as to what i should run with my F23. on my Stock 225.45R17's (24.9) i trap 93/94 on the limiter, shiftlight on, sometimes i make it through other times im bouncing at the stripe. i picked up a set of 245/45R17 DRs for cheap. going to try them as it has more outside Dia, yet the hole-shot may not hold up so well. either way i do it for fun right now, but it is always nice to go as fast as possible!

Planning, and testing are critical when looking for success. I had epic failure at the track last week when at the last minute i tried to squeeze going to the drags into a day that was booked. I had never bolted my DR's on, and had drove the car all this time based on street tires, that didnt hook. Without any practice to speak of i tried to run the DR's at the track and failed due to me never really hooking up before. It was good experience, and i will be better prepared, and less rushed next time.
I would definitely recommend whatever tires you all go with, dont make the mistake i did and throw them on after ups delivers them that day, without doing alot of practice beforehand. It is awesome to actually have traction driving around though. But you have to race based on having traction, verses not, like i was used to. Still dont know how high to come off the line, without potentially hurting the tranny. I think the Dr's would hook at the track, with about anything i could realistically throw at them, but i am still on a K04.
