2.4L F23 Trans Clutch

I have an 06 2.4L SS. I am planning on getting a new clutch put in, an upgrade that will last for many years. I have been looking around and I havent seen much about the 2.4L transmissions and clutches but basically my situation is: I have full bolt-ons, not planning on boosting it but you never know, I drive smart but hard, I do go to drag strips so I need a clutch that will hold up to that and last. I don't care about the play of the clutch because I drive my buddies 240 a lot and it has a stage 4 clutch and I can drive it just fine. So please recommend me a clutch that'll do all the above and some possible backups. Thanks

I assume this can go with the stock flywheel just fine. I found a Stage 2 Exedy on eBay for $300 Best Offer.

you have to factor in getting the stock flywheel machined down, thats about a 100 or so to have done, or you can get the exedy one for like 300

Exedy for under $300 is a good deal, but I am a fan of the Spec 2+ clutches for mild cars, itll take anything you can throw at it.

Thats what I'm looking for. A long lasting clutch, not a short lasting clutch that can handle abuse. I want longevity and medium endurance, enough to hold up to a weekend dragstip every now and then. Is that what Spec would offer better than Exedy or any other clutch available for the 2.4?

Whats the deal with the New GM Clutch Kit? Any good?

Also, I'm unable to locate any Spec clutches for the 2.2 or 2.4. I have seen though that the stage one is rated for mid 300's ft/lbs of torque so that one would work just fine if I can find a Stage 1 for the 2.2/2.4 Cobalt.

Yes I think the Spec 2 or 2+ is gonna be the longest lasting clutch for the F23 that can take some floggin on a regular basis. They do make both for the 2.4, its probably what Ill be using when the time comes.

The GM clutch kit you hear about is for the LSK cars, the one you posted is just a stock replacement.
