Exedy. Spec has a horrible name in the 240 world.

Ok. I've heard quite a bit of bad things about spec and a lot of good about exedy. But im on a budget here. Besides the clutch I have to replace the slave cylinder and throwout bearing which i do not think these kits come with these.

Yes, none of the kits of any brand come with the slave/TOB.

The Slave/TOB is all one unit and can be purchased from any local dealer for less than $100

None that we know of. (Exedy, Spec, clutchmasters, etc)

ill put another vote for exedy. ive driven 3 different cars with spec clutches (b18 civic, 2000 2.4l cavalier and 90 sunbird with ecotec/f23 swap, all stage 3+) and i didnt like any of them. the biggest issue i have had is they seem to have a floating release height, the clutch never grabs in the same place.

I bought a Spec Stage 2+ off TTR and it's been solid for around ~37k miles so far on my SS/SC. Honestly there's no need to bash Spec because they were shitty in the past, if you have never used the newer models.
