05 SS right side axle came out, pics

I've never had this happen to me on any car. The axle came out right after I left my driveway. Was reading that lowered cars can accelerate the cause of axles popping out. The car is on BC Coilovers, pretty low. Any suggestions on what to lookout for? Or should I just buy a new CV axle? Does it make sense to replace them both, or just the bad side? Sorry for the novice questions. Also, what would be a good axle(s) to buy.

Pics will come shortly. Not letting them upoad through my phone for some reason.

Being lowered does effect geometry. Make sure it has the correct axle because I've heard of some of the stores selling them shorter in length

ZZP Axles are beasts and best bang for buck.

The stock SC axles are kinda crappy IMO. On my SS SC the passenger axle fell apart when I jacked the car up a few weeks ago. Back in 2008 I hit a pothole while turning right and the axle broke. Probably had less than 20k on it at the time. So if the axle was past its prime then it's possible, but your coilovers likely accelerated the wear.

You can also pop them back together, regrease everything, reboot, etc. but its easier to just replace the whole axle.

Popped out by raising the car up, dayum lol. Thanks Chris. I mean, as long as they don't pop out anytime soon, I'm ok with that. Car looks too good lowered.

Bought the zzp stage one axles. The axle that I took out, had these washers on it. The zzp doesn't come with any. Do I reuse them on the zzp?

There should only be one washer that goes on before the axle nut.

Can't really tell from that angle. As long as the splines are lined up and slide together it'll tighten up when you put the nut on.

Got both axles in. Does this look right to you guys?

Is it normal for both zzp axles to be identical?

Also, I lost a little bit of trans fluid, so I won't drive it until I refil. It wasn't a lot, but still.
