clunky 5 speed
I did some searches and couldn't find what I waslooking for so I apologize if this is a repost
Has anyone noticed that the 5 speed in the 2.4 is a clunky transmission, particulary when nice and warm. For instance you can noticibly hear the geas changing when shifting (not grinding, just engaging) It is't so much rough feeling, but feels cheap and clunky if that makes sense. If I have it in say 2nd or 3rd gear and let off the gas a can hear the gear noise. The car has about 2200 miles on it. Is it a balt thing? I'm hesitant on bringing it in to the dealership if its a normal thing. I'm also thinking about royal purple synromax to see if it helps. Any opinions? |
Sometimes i get that in mine too, but it still goes in fine. Im also thinking about changing the fluid.

RP Syncromax came in. I'm going to attempt to change it out on Wednesday (dayoff) if I don't get lazy. Cant wait to get the dtcok s**t out. It makes the tranny sound like shit. Clank, Clank, exspecially when fully warmed up, like it doesn;t lubricate properly
