Clutch and Flywheel Advice

Well folks. Over the winter I plan on doing a built with my 09'ss/tc. My goal WAS to keep it as original as possible because they will be a rare find 30yrs from now. But since its had 2 Accidents this year and the value has dropped... im going to build it up

I plan on running close to 400-450 whp. I know nothing about Clutches and Flywheels. Whos got the best clutch with Daily drive-ability but can grab hard. Also what are some pro's and cons with a light weight flywheel?

All help will be greatly appriciated

SPEC Stage2+ here, rated at 437 ft/lbs with the matching LW FW. Initially the LW FW took a bit of getting used to after the stocker, killed it a few times the first day. Clutch engaged very close to the floor compounding it. Added the ZZP adj rod, lots of blood, sweat & tears.... & bruises but it raised the pedal to a resonable engage point. Couldn't powershift without the rod, too much drag I guess.

All in all I'm pleased with the performance now. The pedal is a bit stiffer than stock and the force doesn't breakover at half pedal like the stocker, you have to keep a firm bit of pressure on it but I get a lot of stop & go in traffic jams & it's not unbearable. No slippage on mine at ~400 ft/lbs wtq w/ 27 psi at times, I normally run 24. ~380 wtq.

If you keep the stock FW, the dowel holes need to be drilled out to 12mm for the SPEC included dowels or some have left them out without issue.

I'd consider the ZZP Stage 4+ if I were doing it again with the stock FW.

I have ~12k miles on the SPEC BTW and replaced the slave cyl (TO bearing) when I had it done.

It will chatter a bit if you slip it too much at higher revs, like 2k when it's cold or hot in traffic, normal starts at 1000-1200 rpm are fine as are hard launches at 2800.

Spec 3+ and stock flywheel, it was really grabby at first and is very smooth now. 7000 miles on it.
