Exclamation clutch got put n lastnight but when i picked it up...

Clutch got put n lastnight but when I picked it up I noticed that I can hear a lot of noise and my pedals r shakry. It has some chattering going on and when its n nuteral I can here a steady beating noise (sometimes) but when I drive it and has no noise and shifts smooth. Is this normal? I got the gm upgraded clutch package wth a new flywheel from crateengindept

Do you have an undampened flywheel installed at the same time? My MCS has that and it sounds like a diesel at a stop light when it's in neutral because there's no damping springs on this particular flywheel so it clack away...step on the clutch, engage gears and the noise goes away...

I did notice that when I push the clutch n it goes away that's why I was kinda thinkn its fine. The flywheel I had put on is the one that crateenginedept. Other then that I don't no what u mean by a undampened flywheel.

I meant clutch...damped units have spring packs to separate the vibrations when the clutch/flywheel are disengaged...undamped (usually race units and lighter) have no spring pack so during disengaged moments such as idling, the unit will chatter as it tried to maintain cycle with the ignition pulse during low rpms...the noise comes from the small gaps between the mating spline surfaces at the shaft...confused...nevermind...just ask your mechanic...

From your description, it sounds normal to me...my Mini does the same thing and people comment that I should check my rod...know it alls...

I don't think he means chatter...I think he's describing a clacking noise like a diesel when idling with the clutch out and in neutral...it's normal if he has a non damped clutch/flywheel...

I don't think anyone in there right mind would buy a solid hub disk for daily driving.

they would if they had no idea what they were buying and seen the unsprung disks were $25 cheaper

he said he got the gm upgraded clutch, and the flywheel as well... GM flywheel tho?

it might not have been aligned like some have said, or it may not have been torqued down properly. shaking clutch pedal? it's mounted to the firewall, so if it shakes its from the pulsating of the hydraulic fluid back to the pedal, from the throwout bearing, which is moving due to the clutch engaging a non-true and accurately aligned flywheel and/or clutch. it's pulsating basically.

it shouldn't, so get that **** reinstalled properly... unless of course you have some aftermarket flywheel, i don't know what crateenginedepot sells. they should have noticed an issue like that b4 giving the car to u... tell them it's not supposed to be like that, simple.
