clutch line?

Im in the process of replacing my transmission and i can not seem to get the clutch line back on over the nipple correclty, ive tried with the clip in the connector and ive also tried without the clip and then trying to push the clip through but i can not seem to get the clip to line up, has anyone encountered this problem before? also could it be because i am tryin to reuse my old clip?

thanks

Are you talking about the line coming from the fluid reservoir to the distribution block (clutch elbow), or where the distribution block clips onto the clutch pipe on the top of the trans? If it's where the block clips onto the clutch pipe itself, double check to make sure that the nipple hasn't fallen off of the pipe where it sticks out of the trans. If it has, then the block just can't clip in. Here's a pic showing what I'm talkig about....

Bump 8 years later because I'm having the same issue. And for anyone else that comments, no it's not the damn clutch pipe clip. It's the clutch line from the firewall that attaches to the pipe on top of the trans. Thanks in advance.
