Cobalt SS Racecar - F23 Fluid Leak (Vent?)
Hi Guys,
I recently finished my racecar and had my first weekend of racing. The local 1/3 mile oval track allows the car to run second gear around, just hitting the rev limiter as I get to the turn (perfect gearing). However, after each session, I have a small amount of ATF leaking. The ATF pools right beside the oil fill cap, which last night I determined is vented. I'm wondering if its possible that the transmission is building enough pressure over the 8 minutes of flatout racing that could cause the vent to loose fluid. I am not loosing a substantial amount of fluid (No Pool in Trailer After Racing), but the back of the case is damp where the fluid is running down, and a few bolts at the bottom of the case have drips ready to fall.
Has anyone racing these cars had this issue or something similar? Is there anything I can do? I have found that some Vauxhall's with F23's had a remote vent kit, which was a raised hose and allowed fluid (and pressure) to raise up the line and then return into the case once the transmission cooled/pressure subsided.
Any solutions? I am all ears!

I do have this issue while autocrossing. I never did find a solution I just let the transmission fluid find a level where it wouldn't leak out anymore. The first time I went out after filling the trans I puked out a substantial amount of fluid though I may have had the trans slightly overfilled. The next time I went it still let out a little but not nearly as much. The remote vent might be something to look at I just didn't even know that was a thing. I had the issue during autocross which I did not have high sustained RPM but many tight corners which would cause the fluid to slosh side to side with high rpm bursts on the straight sections.
