cracked block 2008 2.0 Turbo 62Kmi

I just got my car back. New block because the old apparently developed a crack leaking coolant into the oil pan. Dealership says they replaced 4 others over this last year (mine being the 5th) due to a GM defect. I have no confidence that they probably swapped it with a corrected casting and used the same defective cast in the replacement. Does anyone know if they actually did update the block to correct this issue?

Though the block was covered under warranty they did not address my concerns with the turbo's bearing. Lubrication properties of water not withstanding, I expect steam is even worse as a lube. I suspect that the bearing may be scored now. Anyone second this thought?

Well if the turbo makes a whizzing noise, and your exhaust reeks and smokes from oil, they will owe you a turbo, but GM is cheap nowadays. They really should get you a whole motor w/turbo.

No problem yet but I do think that it's a little noisier than it was before.
