Help! no clutch relese at high rpm?!

About 9 months ago I put a Clutchmasters stage 4 in my 06 ss/sc. a few weeks ago i had it tached up went for fourth gear and couldnt get it.. or any others. the pedal didnt go soft it was still firm but even on the floor it wont disengage the disc. after maybe a minute or two it works fine again. this only happens above 4500 and in any gear. after i get on it i have about one shift and then this happens. I have no problems with it any other time. I can go first to reverse no prob. Bled clutch repeatedly with no effect. slave/relese was new with clutch kit. Anynone had this problem or a soloution. Best I can figure is the clutch master isnt strong enough for clutch? Thanks

I had the same issue with the install of my SPEC Stage2+ & LW flywheel. The clutch was dragging a bit. Vacuum bleed the clutch several times and if it still persists, (like mine did) install a ZZP adjustable clutch rod. It'll raise the pedal a bit and give you a pinch more throw. It ain't easy to swap the clutch rod though, I'll warn you.

Hopefully you installed the upgraded (LNF) slave cyl when the clutch was done, if not I don't think the rod will help.

thanks for the info. i figured this had to have happened to somone else. the slave came with the clutch kit so i would have to assume it is strong enough. do you have to take the master out to install the rod? and where did ypu come acrss the part?

Yes, the part is difficult to change, the clutch master cyl. has to be unlocked from the firewall to change the rod.

I have a thread from when I did mine...

Here's the rod...

Thanks for the info and the web guide. I find it funny that the zzp website says "30 min install" Theres no way. AllData calls for almost 2 hours to just take the master out and put it back. Oh well. Im in repair not sales. Thanks again.
