MPG-NUT

After I came out of a store Saturday, the point in the clutch travel where it starts to grab was suddenly all the way to the floor. I thought the clutch cable had slipped right at the transmission and if it slipped any further I would be in trouble.

I made it home but when I tried to leave to go to the dealer, who has Saturday service, it had gotten worse and it was getting difficult to shift. I figured I would get stranded if I tried to drive the 45 miles to my dealer (no other dealers had Sat. service) I called the GM roadside number and they agreed to flatbed it all the way. When we got there I could not get it into any gear.

I was able to drive it home by about 4pm that afternoon. They said that the factory had misrouted the hydraulic hose for the clutch and that it had bent and kinked. They re-routed it and bled the system.

I've never had to have a new car towed before when it's only 2 1/2 weeks old, but at least GM didn't fight me on flatbedding it the 45 miles, the dealer fixed it that day and provided a free loaner full of gas.

Hopefully there's no other bugs and I can just put gas in it and change the oil for 150,000 miles.
