LNF Stiff Shifter
I have an lnf, and over the past few months the shifter has been getting really tough to go into gears and is really stiff in neutral. Whenever i go from second to third, i have to guide it to dead center in order to go into 3rd.
So I took everything apart today to take a look at the assembly, and it seems like the bracket that holds/controls the left/right movement of the shifter is bent. So maybe thats the issue ? I've been wanting to get a short shifter for a while anyways so this gives me an excuse to get one. Might not solve the problem, but at least it'll rule out some things. That being said, I was thinking TWM, OTTP, or BPS. Any input on this whole situation would be helpful and much appreciated. |

OTTP or BPS are both good options. BPS lets you keep your stock shift knob if that is something that appeals to you. I would avoid TWM just based on the price, it's a good quality option but the other two are just as good and cheaper.

I have had both. I have a BPS now because I like the stock knob
|
for bps, is there a way to use another knob ? my stock one is shot, so id want another knob
|
Yea. You can buy their knobs.
I would just buy the OTTP at that point tho |
well with ottp, youre limited to their knob only. BPS, they have a few options to go with.
just curious to know if theres an adapter needed for using a non-stock knob on a BPS shifter |
I got ottp. It is truly a beautiful piece. The delrin knob is great. Has a nice weight to it and doesnt get ice cold or super hot.

Try NLS from 2nd to 3rd. If something breaks, replace that shit.

update:
went with a BPS STS and that didnt really solve the problem of stiffness, but it did solve the problem of having shorter shifts lol the stiffness was in fact due to bad shifter cables. so replaced those, and good as new |
