please help!

my master cylinder went threw the fire wall. i managed to drive it home by rev matching all my shifts but i dont cant reach the master cylinder now. on zzp they say that it only takes about 30 min to replace the clutch rod and you have to remove the master cylinder when you do that but i just dont see where it can be properly reached from. ive tried going from below the car, from the top and even took off the wheel and tried from the side but i cant manage to get enough on the cylinder to turn it from any of those positions.

bump

I had to take the underhood fuse box out to get to the clutch master cyl and even then it took a lot of 'using the force'. If I recall correctly, it turns opposite of what you would think. (LH threads) Counterclockwise to lock it in place & clockwise to remove it. Good luck, hope the firewall isn't ripped/torn like some others on here.

first of all, thanks man for the feedback! i actually tried to take out the fusebox and i could reach it. i was able to get the damn thing in and turn in about a quarter turn counterclockwise but it wouldnt hold when i pushed the clutch in. [should it turn more than that?] anyways, i believe my firewall is torn. i figure im just gonna rev match it all the way to the stealership and shut off the car at red lights and turn it on while its in gear. hopefully i dont screw up my syncros or tranny. ah well. a tow truck would be about 150 for the trip. dont want to do that.

It turns about 3/4 turn iirc to lock it in. I'd have it towed if you can't get it.
