Please help me! Problem with my SS!!!!!!!!

I just got my SS yesterday and today the car when im going about 3000 RPM it makes a quick rattling noise then it stops right after I go 3500 RPM. this it happens specially in 1st and 2nd gear and a lil in 3rd. I donnu what it is. Do you guys think I should wait for it to break it in and then take it to the dealer if it continues or should i stop and go right now to the dealer to get it checked.

Does it sound like its coming from the back of the car near the right of the trunk?

I think kinda like the front. It might sound like its from the exhaust but i dun think so. Its kinda from the engine compartment.

I would give it some time, it's still breaking in. I had noises come up and go away when I first got mine too. If it persists then definately take it in though.

I had a rattling in what sounded like the exhaust when I did a cold start. It doesn't do that anymore. I did however develop a rattling in my dash which is REALLY annoying!

What you might be hearing is the tranny. The getrag is notorious for making noises especially some rattling.

does it sound like a bb rattling in a pop can ? if it does then go to your dealer cuz your having some detonation, the enemy of a forced induction engine.

Thats exactly what I had. Is that because of the exhaust. That detonation. will it be fixed after they fix the exhaust.

if it's the rattle described as "bb in a pop can", that would most likely be the heat shield on the cat, happens on alot of cars, it's not an emergency but you may want to have it checked anyway.
