Reverse "whines"
In my 2006 SS/SC, when I am in reverse, clutch all the way out, and foot off of the gas, going maybe 5 MPH, I hear a "whine" noise, I know some cars are more noisy than others in reverse, but it is fairly loud.
I have LSD, if that makes any difference what-so-ever.

mine has always whined some while backing up. also when i downshift before i let out of clutch say im going back into first from like 10mph it whines as well. i think this is typical i mean its done it since ive owned the car back in July of last year and ive yet to have clutch problems or anything and i learned to drive manual with this car.
It's cause the reverse gears are straight cut and make that noise
Race cars have them in the forward gears too

Well, no, I know that that the reverse gear is straight cut, and my base model whined too, but god damn.. This thing is loud. I guess it's not a big deal really, I was just wondering if it's common.
Also, if I am in say, 2nd gear at like 4k, and I let off of the gas to coast, it will whine too. It's only in like high RPM.

No, cars with manual transmissions with straight cut reverse gears whine in reverse. Higher end transmissions have helical reverse gears, such as the T56 and TR6060 found in F-bodies, Vipers, Vettes, GTOs, ect.
And yes, both automatic and manual Hondas whine extremely loudly in reverse, much more so than other cars.
