Shifting!!!!

ok so question.. i got my 2006 chevy cobalt ss sc last july i wanna say. anyways. ive got a questiong about the shifting. i dont really remember how the shifting was with the stock shifter but all i know now is my shifting is sometimes hard with the twm sts ive got. now im guessing that its not adjusted right really but im wondering if anybody has literally ever had there shifter shift into a gear like butter. i mean easy like most manual tranny cars do. i literally have trouble shifting into gear sometimes. annoys the shit outta me. now when i put the sts in i adjusted the right side linkage but not the left. im worried to touch the left side. but still if anyone has any input please help. thank u

IMO, "short" shifters in this car are pointless and a waste of money. My friends Hurst is WAY notchy and nowhere near as smooth as mine. It makes my stock shifter feel like a honda... thats how much i hate his.

IIRC, its just something you will have to deal with. Even stock sometimes the tranny is stubborn.

i have a twm sts and i drove around with it like that for about 6 months then i decided to try and adjust it a little bit. i just unhooked that part and then repositioned it "where you think 4th gear would be"
now its like butter. i love it.

Make sure to properly adjust the cables, this is the key to butter smooth shifting. I've had my SS/TC for over a year now, with of course our short shifter in it since day 1, spent a few minutes fine tuning the cable adjustment when installing it and it's shifting very easily and smoothly in every gear, all the time!
