So a few months back my tranny went out on my 06 SS/SC so I decided just to buy a used one with an LSD and so far I've been through 3 each one having more problems than the last. This has been a nightmare. I have the last place I got one from willing to help pay to rebuild the one I got from them but none of the shops around me can find the parts to do it, it just needs a syncho and basic rebuild. My question is does anyone know where to find all the parts to rebuild or what are options as far as buying a new or remaned one?

 

you have a few rebuild options from vendors- prs or powell race parts- canada, pwerks or performance autowerks- in chicago. they have options and warranties available. there are a few guys on facebook who do them also, that have pretty good reps, and i have one installed right now.
Not everyone has the tools to do them, as they are pretty specialized. pwerks and powell will be around $2k for a basic rebuild last i knew. Facebook guys are about $1500 but i dont think you get a warrenty.
