Trans End Case Leak?

Just put an LSJ Trans in and have been having a mystery leak that I can't find. I have Trans fluid ONLY in the drivers side wheel well, on the axle, sway bar and control arm. I thought it was the axle seal but that part is clean and dry so I'm thinking it could be the end case bc the bolts there look new like someone had opened it before.

Does anyone know if there is a gasket in the end case cap or is it rtv? I called CED and they said the computer doesn't show a gasket. I just wanna make sure before I open it up and make a mess.

Yup, actually figured this out. Thanks for bumping, I forgot to update.

Turns out the little end plate WAS the culprit but it wasn't bc I had over filled the Trans or a leaky gasket. The end plate had this little nick on it that I thought nothing of. It looks innocent...

However on the inside, it looked like this...

This little crack dumped an entire quart of the GM Trans fluid in just a couple days. That crap ain't cheap either!

Just bc it's cool looking, here's a shot of the Trans with the cap off for good measure.

Thankfully I had my old one still so I just popped that one on while I wait to replace this one.

No, not at all. The bolts are all easily accessible with the wheel off and outta the way.

Nice this makes me a little happier.. Cause my jerking issue I have a feeling is something internal in the trans. So I wouldn't have to the trans out again of I'm replacing something lol.

I'm not sure what all you could access from that side and with that cover off. I'm sure any serious internal Trans work would require the Trans to be off the car.
